GoToMyPC Security Improvements and Upgrades You Should Know About!

Take a look at some exciting new features we've released this week for GoToMyPC!

We are excited to announce a few powerful new releases for all GoToMyPC customers which went live this week in our GoToMyPC Desktop Application.

The first is updating our previous 128-bit AES (encryption) to the highest, industry standard for encryption: 256-bit AES – which is now included in your GoToMyPC account. This means you can continue having peace of mind while remotely accessing your important devices and data that you are completely protected from online threats, hackers, and any other malicious activity. We are so excited to label our encryption as the most advanced available when it comes to remote access solutions, and we hope you enjoy this update as well. This encryption level will also be available when accessing your computers on Mobile devices (iOS and Android).

In addition to these updates, we are including several other key upgrades for GoToMyPC users:

GoToMyPC now includes a new Screen Blanking feature available for users which allows you to blank out your host screen while remotely connected. This will turn the entire screen of the unattended host computer screen black (or green) while you are remotely connected, preserving security for the user.

As a part of this week’s release, we are including general performance improvements and bug fixes due to our Platform version upgrade, which will make GoToMyPC overall faster, more reliable, and easier to use.

We have added a new Screen Capture feature to GoToMyPC which allows you to take a saved image of your monitor in-session.

We have added a new feature, allowing users to “Trust this Device” so that users can skip access code verification from a trusted computer that they have to access quickly, saving you time.

We hope you enjoy your improved experience with GoToMyPC and look forward to hearing your feedback moving forward. Remember, we always are looking to improve our user’s experience with the platform and appreciate any and all forms of feedback on these releases, past releases, or ideas for any future releases. Have a great week and stay safe out there!
